Ingredients
for
1
- Ingredients
- ½ cube Yeast (21 grams or approximately 1 oz)
- 125 milliliters lukewarm milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 250 grams Pastry flour
- 2 Tbsps sunflower oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 500 grams onions
- 2 Tbsps butter
- freshly ground peppers
- 75 grams grated Cheese (such as Emmentaler)
- vegetable oil (for the baking sheet)
Preparation steps
1.
Dissolve the yeast in the milk with the sugar, then mix with the flour, oil and salt to make a smooth dough. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
2.
Peel and halve the onions and cut into thin strips. Sauté in hot butter for about 5 minutes until translucent, season with salt and pepper and let cool.
3.
Preheat the convection oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Brush the baking sheet with oil.
4.
Knead the dough again and roll out thinly to the size of the baking sheet. Arrange the dough on the sheet, spread the onions over the dough and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Cut into pieces and serve immediately.
