125 grams cane sugar
500 milliliters Peanut oil
3 Tbsps Sesame seeds

Preparation steps

1.

Blanch the walnuts in 1 liter of boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain, pat dry and spread on a baking sheet. 

2.

Sprinkle the walnuts with the turbinado sugar and let sit overnight in a warm, dry place. 

3.

Heat the peanut oil in a large saucepan and fry the walnuts for about 2 minutes, until the sugar has melted and walnuts are browned. Remove from the oil with a slotted spoon and sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Serve warm or room temperature. Store in an airtight container.
