- 70 milliliters water
- 1 tsp Red Food coloring
- 2 tsps Vinegar
- 6 Food-safe craft sticks (for apples)

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse apples, pat dry, remove stem and stick wooden skewer into each apple where stem was.
2.
Spread 50 grams (approximately 2 ounces) sugar evenly on a flat plate.
3.
Boil sugar, water, food coloring and vinegar in a saucepan with a thick bottom quickly and boil until sugar thermometer reads 150°C (approximately 300°F).
4.
Pull the pan from the heat immediately. Sequentially immerse each apple in the sugar mixture, rotate and turn until completely covered by the syrup. Then roll apple in sugar on the plate and let cool.
