300 grams Horseradish
5 Tbsps White vinegar
1 red chili pepper
225 grams sugar
1 Tbsp Mustard seed

Preparation steps

1.

Peel and julienne the horseradish. Bring 1 liter (approximately 1 quart) of water to a boil with the vinegar. Add the horseradish and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Rinse the chili, and slice into rings.

Remove the horseradish from the vinegar mixture and drain.

4.

Bring 300 ml (approximately 10 ounces) of water to a boil with the sugar, chili, and mustard seeds. Add the horseradish, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

5.

Divide the horseradish into jars, cover with the cooking liquid, seal, and leave to cool.

6.

This will last approximately 6 months.
