4 red chili peppers (washed and finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and finely chopped)
3.333 Tbsps mild white wine
2.333 Tbsps honey
¾ cup water (plus more if needed)
fresh lemon juice (to taste)
½ bunch cilantro (washed and dried)

Preparation steps

In a small saucepan, over medium-high heat, bring the chopped chili peppers, garlic, wine, honey and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, or until mixture is thick and syrupy (add more water one teaspoonful at a time if mixture is to thick.

Season with lemon juice. Pluck the leaves from the cilantro, reserve a few leaves for garnish and finely chop the rest. Add the chopped leaves to the chili mixture. Divide between bowls. Garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve.
