1 onion (finely diced)
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 bay leaf
3 Juniper berries
500 grams Sauerkraut

Preparation steps

1.

Mix the apples with melted butter, cover and baste with the wine in a pot for about 10 minutes. Cook.

2.

Place the onion, bay leaf and juniper and sauté in a pan, stir in cabbage and let simmer for about 30 minutes.

3.

Scoop out the apples with a sharp-edged spoon, remove the core and mix the rest of the pulp with the sauerkraut. Season the cabbage with salt, pepper and sugar and fill the apples with the mixture.
