Preparation steps

Rinse the oranges in hot water, then cut into slices. Slit the vanilla bean lengthwise. Mix the sugar with the vanilla bean. Add to a pot with 250 ml (approximately 8 ounces) of water and the orange slices. Bring to a boil, simmer gently for 10 minutes, and then let cool. Add the elderflowers to the pot, cover, and chill for 1-2 days in the refrigerator.

Transfer the elderflower water to a carafe, fill with the orange juice and soda water, and serve cold.
