Elderberry Punch with Melon Balls
The edible flowers are full of useful secondary plant substances. These activate the metabolism, strengthen the circulation and can help with sleep problems.
If you would like to prepare the punch alcohol-free, you can either use a sparkling wine without alcohol or replace half of the Prosecco with mineral water with carbonic acid and light grape juice
, by the way, you can also prepare the elderflower syrup yourself. Click here for a delicious recipe.
- 1 small Galia melon
- 1 small honeydew melon
- ½ Watermelon
- 2 Elderflower stem
- 4 Tbsps elderflower syrup
- 1 organic lemon
- 500 milliliters Apple juice
- 1 bottle cold Prosecco (or sparkling wine)
Halve the melons and remove the seeds. Scoop out the pulp using a melon baller. Add the melon balls, elderflower stems, and the syrup to a punch bowl. Cut the lemon into slices, and add to the punch with the apple juice and half of the Prosecco.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Before serving, add the remaining Prosecco. If you'd like, you can add a little mineral water, to taste as well.
