1 garlic clove
18 ozs Beef (cubed)
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 tsp ground paprika
2 Tbsps Tomato paste
¼ tsp Caraway
34 ozs Beef broth
salt

8 ozs waxy potatoes
marjoram (for garnishing)

Preparation steps

Peel onions and garlic and chop finely. Rinse meat, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. Heat oil in a saucepan and brown meat on all sides. Season with paprika and remove from pan.

Saute onions and garlic in the same pan, add tomato paste, and cumin powder. Return meat to the pan and deglaze the pan with broth. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 50 minutes on medium heat.

Peel potatoes, dice finely and add to soup. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Season soup again to taste and serve garnished with marjoram leaves.
