Creamy Potato and Cheese Bake

1 Pot, 1 Bowl, 1 Plate, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Sieve, 1 Kitchen twine, 1 Can opener, 1 Roasting bag, 1 Baking sheet
Peel wash and dry the potatoes. Slice very thinly and arrange in neat layers in four small buttered pans (or one large one).
Peel and finely chop the garlic and crush finely with a little salt. Bring the cream to the boil with the crushed garlic and season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour over the potatoes so that they are barely covered.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated oven 400°F for about 40 minutes.
