Chunky Fruit and Grain Purees
For each puree, grind the oats or barley flakes in an electric grinder to a fine powder. Put in a bowl and add the remaining ingredients and puree using a hand blender or mash with a fork.
Scrape into a saucepan and cook over a low heat, stirring frequently, for 3 - 4 minutes. Add more water if necessary. Stir in a little formula or breast milk for a creamier consistency.
Serve lukewarm or chill until needed.
