- 4 Chicken breasts (cut into 2 cm-wide strips)
- 2 stalks Leeks (cleaned and cut into rings`)
- 1 Red Bell pepper (cored and cut into thin strips)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tsps sugar
- 3 Tbsps water
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 4 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 2 Star anise
- 200 milliliters Chicken broth
- 2 Tbsps Rice wine
- salt
- peppers (from the mill)
- 2 Tbsps Peanuts
Preparation steps

Caramelize the sugar and water in a hot wok until pale yellow and syrupy and brush the chicken strips with it. Brown the meat in 2 tablespoons of oil in the wok, remove and keep warm.

Fry the peppers in the wok for about 2 minutes, add and sautée leeks, add the pressed garlic and ginger, then add in the meat, the broth, peanuts and star anise and cook about 4 minutes while stirring. Remove star anise and season with rice wine, salt and pepper.
3.
Serve with rice.
