Preparation steps

1.

Peel the pineapples, cut off the ends and slice the flesh into slightly oblique longitudinal stripes. Cover one end of the fruit with cloves.

Melt the butter with the honey. Drizzle all over the pineapples and cook for about 15 minutes until golden brown under the broiler. Occasionally brush with the honey-butter.

For the sauce, caramelize the sugar with the water in a pot until golden brown. Deglaze with the rum and simmer for a few minutes. Allow to cool slightly.

3.

Set the pineapples on deep dessert plates and serve drizzled with the sauce.
