Ingredients
4
organic Limes
100 milliliters
Cranberry juice (from the health food store)
16 centiliters
Cachaça (or rum)
8 tablespoons
600 milliliters
approximately Ginger ale

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the limes under hot water, pat dry, and cut into thin slices.

2.

Mix the lime slices with the cranberry juice, Cachaca, and the sugar. Mash the mixture lightly with a wooden pestle.

3.

Process the ice cubes in an ice crusher, or place in a clean kitchen towel and crush coarsely with a rolling pin. Divide the crushed ice into four tall glasses.

4.

Pour the Cachaca mixture into the glasses and mix well with a spoon. Fill the glasses with the well chilled ginger ale.

5.

Garnish the glasses with lemon balm leaves or fresh mint, if you'd like, and serve.
