Preparation steps

1.

Peel and finely chop the onion and sweat in some oil. Allow to cool slightly and mix together with the egg and thyme. Mix into the meat, along with the breadcrumbs. Bring everything together until the mixture is easy to shape. Season with salt and pepper and shape into 4 burgers.

2.

Fry in the remaining oil, on both sides, until golden brown (6-8 minutes), turning occasionally.

3.

Rinse and trim the lettuce and shake dry. Pluck into small pieces. Rinse the tomatoes, remove the stem and cut into slices.

Rinse the chile pepper, cut in half and finely chop. Mix with the oil, along with the cheese and season with salt and pepper.

4.

Cut the bread horizontally and fry until the cut surface is golden brown. Spread mustard over the bottom half and lay a burger over the top. Spread with the cream cheese and cover with tomatoes and salad.

Replace the bun lid and serve immediately.

5.

Suggestion: serve with a tomato salad if desired.
