Preparation steps

1.

Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

2.

Place bacon on a rack set over a baking sheet. Bake until crisp, 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside. Turn off oven and warm burger buns in the residual heat.

3.

Season ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 4 patties. In a pan, fry burgers in hot oil, 3-4 minutes per side.

4.

Peel onions and cut into rings. Thinly slice pickled cucumber. Rinse lettuce and shake dry.

5.

Remove buns from oven and cut in half horizontally. Spread bottom halves of buns with mayonnaise and ketchup to taste. Top with lettuce leaves and burgers.

6.

Rinse and slice tomatoes. Pile onion rings, tomato slices, pickled cucumber slices and bacon on burgers. Place bun halves on top and serve with chips, if desired.
