1 kilogram Brussels sprouts
salt
2 small Apple
1 can Chestnuts (425 grams or 15 ounces)
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
2 Tbsps Almond slivers
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
ground cilantro
ground Cumin
ground Turmeric
1 tsp Pastry flour
3 Tbsps golden raisin
250 milliliters Vegetable broth (instant)
freshly ground pepper

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and trim the Brussels sprouts. Halve the larger sprouts and blanch in boiling salted water for 12 to 15 minutes. Rinse the apples, cut in half, cut into wedges and remove the seeds.

Drain the chestnuts. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely.

Toast the almonds in a dry nonstick pan, then remove and set aside to cool. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onions and garlic in it. Sprinkle in the spices and flour and cook briefly. Drain the Brussels sprouts. Add the sprouts, apple slices, chestnuts and raisins to the pan. Pour in the broth and simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
