- 5 Red onions (cut into rings)
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seed
- ¼ cup Red wine
- 3 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
- 4 Steak approx. 120 g each (e. g. ribeye)
- 8 slices white Bread
- 4 Lettuce (e. g. lollo rosso; shredded)
- 2 Tomatoes (sliced)

Preparation steps
1.
Fry the onions in 2 tbsp oil for 4-5 minutes. Add the mustard seeds and quench with red wine.
2.
Add the balsamic vinegar and simmer for approx. 10 minutes. If necessary add a little water. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
3.
Season the steaks with salt and ground black pepper and fry in the remaining oil for 1-2 minutes.
4.
Cover four slices of bread with the lettuce and tomatoes. Add the steaks and the onions and then place the other slice of bread on top.
