Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the basil, pat dry, and remove the leaves from the stems. Peel and finely dice the garlic. Chop the basil, garlic, and pine nuts in a blender. Mix in the cheese, then gradually incorporate the oil.

Place the pesto in a jar, and top with oil. Seal the jar tightly. The pesto will keep for a few weeks in the refrigerator.
