- 3 Red onions
- 4 Sirloin steak (160 grams or 6 ounces)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 2 Tbsps Canola oil
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese (30 grams or 3/4 ounce)
- 8 slices French Farmhouse bread
- 4 Tbsps Barbecue sauce

Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the oven to 140°C (approximately 275°F).

Peel the onions and cut into thin rings. Salt and pepper the steaks on both sides. Heat the canola oil in a pan and brown the steaks on both sides, then remove and place on a baking sheet. Fry the onions in the pan quickly, then spread over the steaks. Top with slices of cheese and bake for 10-12 minutes in the oven.

Spread barbecue sauce over 4 slices of bread, then place the steaks on tip, cover with 4 mores lices of bread and serve immediately, with French fries if desired.
