75 grams melted butter
225 grams sugar
1 egg
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract (or a few drops of essence of vanilla)
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
180 grams Pastry flour
125 grams coarsely chopped Walnut
butter (for the loaf pan)

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Peel and purée the banana. Put the mashed banana in a bowl with the melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add the baking powder, salt and flour into the mixture and quickly mix to a smooth dough. Fold in the chopped walnuts and pour the batter into the buttered loaf pan. Bake in the oven until golden brown, or about 1 hour baking.

Remove from the oven, let cool briefly in the loaf pan, then let cool completely on a wire rack.

Serve sliced with cream cheese to taste.
