Preparation steps
1.
For the custard, take 3-4 tbsp milk and set aside. Put the rest of the milk into a pan and bring to the boil, then remove from the heat. Mix the cornflour and vanilla sugar and mix smoothly with the reserved milk and the egg yolks. Stir into the no longer boiling milk and heat, stirring, until the custard is smooth and creamy (do not let it boil!). Leave to cool, stirring occasionally.
2.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (with fan).
3.
To make the stuffing for the apples, mix half of the almonds with the raisins, 1 tbsp icing sugar and the cinnamon. Finely chop the marzipan and mix in. Stuff the apples with the mixture and place in a buttered baking dish.
4.
Scatter with the rest of the almonds and dust with the rest of the icing sugar. Dot with butter and bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.
5.
Take out of the oven, put on plates and serve with the lukewarm custard.
