- 28 ozs canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tsps ground Cumin
- 2 tsps ground cilantro
- 1 handful fresh cilantro (leaves chopped)
- 1 tsp Harissa
- 4 Tbsps all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 7 Tbsps Sesame seeds
- 4 Tbsps sunflower oil
- To serve
- salad
- Flour tortillas (or wraps)

Preparation steps
1.
Put all the ingredients except the sesame seeds and oil into a food processor or blender and blend until fairly smooth. Shape into 8 balls.
2.
Sprinkle the sesame seeds onto a plate and roll the balls in the sesame seeds to coat. Flatten the balls slightly.
3.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan, and cook the falafel, 2-3 at a time for 3 minutes on each side until lightly golden.
4.
Drain on absorbent kitchen paper and serve with salad leaves and flour tortillas or wraps.
