Bacon Wrapped Cod Fillets
The ling fish has hardly any calories and almost no fat. So if you attach importance to a healthy and balanced diet, you will love the fish fillets in a bacon coat. The boiled potatoes ideally complement the fish with satiating carbohydrates.
If you cannot get ling fish fillets, you can resort to another fish of your choice with firm meat. If you wish, you can serve a herb curd cheese with the potatoes.
Rinse the fish, pat dry and cut into 8 serving pieces. Mix the herbs together. Season the fish with salt and pepper, coat with the herbs and then wrap each fillet with a slice of bacon.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and sear the fish parcels for around 6 minutes. Add the remaining herbs, cream, stock and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange on serving plates and serve with potatoes, if desired.
