3 Tbsps ground almonds
9 ozs Sour cream

butter (for greasing the waffle iron)

Preparation steps

1.

Beat the butter and sugar together until creamy. Separate the eggs and gradually add the egg yolks, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the flour, ground almonds and sour cream. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and gently fold into the batter. 

2.

Heat the waffle iron and grease with butter. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Cover to keep warm and repeat with the remaining batter. Dust the waffles with powdered sugar and serve with orange marmalade and sour cream.
