4 large ripe Pear
juice of lemons
4 Tbsps sugar
500 milliliters white wine
fine Cookie (pastries)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse, and peel the pears. Drizzle with lemon juice.

2.

Dissolve the sugar in a little water and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat. Add the wine and pears and simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes until tender.

3.

Remove the pears from the cooking liquid, and divide onto plates.

4.

Boil the cooking liquid until has thickened to a syrup and pour over the pears before serving.

5.

Serve with pear with the sponge cakes and garnish with mint leaves.
