Preparation steps

1.

Peel apples, quarter and cut out cores. Peel celery root. Grate both coarsely or cut into thin strips. Immediately sprinkle with lemon juice.

Whip the cream until thickened and stir in the mayonnaise gradually to make a smooth, creamy sauce. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.

3.

Reserve some walnut halves for garnish, and chop the rest. Mix the salad dressing with the apples, celery root and chopped nuts.

4.

Rinse lettuce leaves, spin dry and distribute among 4 plates. Arrange the salad over the lettuce and garnish with walnut halves.
