4 Pear (preferably Christian Williams)
500 milliliters white wine
100 grams sugar
125 milliliters Grape juice (or apple juice)
2 Vanilla bean
2 Banana
2 Tbsps butter
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp ground almonds
1 Tbsp ground Pistachio

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the pears. Boil white wine with sugar and grape or apple juice in a pan. Slit the vanilla beans lengthwise and add along with the pears into the boiling juice mixture. Simmer over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes, depending on the ripeness of pears. Remove the pan from heat and allow to the pears to cool within the juices.

Take out the pears from the juices and simmer the juices over low heat until syrupy.

Peel the banana and cut into pieces. Heat butter in a pan, add the brown sugar, almonds and the banana pieces, and fry. Remove the banana pieces from pan.

4.

Halve the pears and serve with the fried banana pieces. Drizzle the juices over and serve sprinkle with ground pistachios.
