700 grams Ground meat (mixed)
1 garlic clove (very finely chopped)
1 White roll (day-old)
1 tsp grated Lemon peel
½ tsp Ground cinnamon
1 generous pinch ground Cardamom
1 generous pinch ground cloves
4 Tbsps milk
2 eggs
4 Tbsps breadcrumbs
salt
freshly ground peppers
5 Tbsps vegetable oil
2 Cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

Soak roll in milk and mash. In a bowl, combine ground meat, soaked bread and eggs. Mix well. Add enough breadcrumbs to the mixture to make it soft and easy to shape.

Add garlic, grated lemon peel, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Season well with salt and pepper.

3.

Form mixture into small meatballs. In batches, fry meatballs in oil until golden brown, turning often, 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a large platter and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
