Preparation steps

1.

Prepare syrup. Rinse 1 chile, cut in half lengthwise, remove seeds and ribs and finely chop. Rinse limes in hot water, pat dry, grate zest and squeeze juice. Combine sugar, chile, vanilla, lime juice, zest, and 120 ml (approximately 0.5 cup) of water in a pot and bring to a boil, Lower heat and simmer for 4 minutes. Pour into a bottle and let stand.

Rinse and dry strawberries, remove stems and cut into halves or quarters. Sprinkle with syrup. Infuse for 24-36 hours and serve.
