1 kilogram ripe Strawberries
1 whole Orange (juiced)
450 grams jam sugar (2:1)

Preparation steps

Rinse the strawberries, trim and halve or quarter depending on size. Place in a large pot. Add the orange juice and jam sugar (exactly half of the fruit quantity) stir into the strawberries in the pot, cover and let stand for about 2 hours. Purée with a hand blender, boil and then cook for 4-5 minutes uncovered.

Immediately fill into prepared jars. Close tightly with the lids and leave to cool. Store in a cool and dark area. The strawberry jam goes very well on fresh poppy seed bun.
