Preparation steps

1.

Halve the chile (wear gloves to protect yourself) lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes, and thinly slice. Rinse the cilantro, pat dry, and finely chop.

Mix the chile with cilantro, butter, tomato paste, and the chives. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
