500 grams gherkins
4 carrots
200 grams Pearl onion
2 garlic cloves
400 milliliters White vinegar
2 Tbsps mustard powder
100 grams brown sugar

Preparation steps

Rinse the cucumber, halve lengthwise, and thinly slice. Peel the carrot, halve lengthwise, and thinly slice also. Peel the onion and garlic. Halve the onions and slice the garlic. Add all of the prepared ingredients to a pot. Add the vinegar, and 200 ml ( approximately 7 ounces) of water, and bring to a boil with the mustard powder and sugar. Simmer gently for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Season to taste with salt and divide into the prepared jars. Seal immediately and cool completely.
