Preparation steps

Heat some oil in a pan, and cook the ground beef until it crumbles apart easily and is cooked through. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Rinse and trim the pepper. Cut in half, and finely dice. Add the prepared vegetables to the ground beef and sauté until golden brown. Add the tomato paste, mix until combined, then pour in the broth. Simmer for 15 minutes, until thickened, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with caraway seed, salt, chili powder, and pepper.

Halve the burger buns horizontally, then toast until golden brown. Place the ground beef mixture on top of the bottom buns. Place the top buns over the ground beef mixture, and serve.
