Preparation steps

Peel and rinse the potato. Slice very thin. In a skillet, heat the oil, add the potato slices, and fry until crisp and golden. Transfer to paper toweling to drain. Season with salt.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

To make the flan: Beat the eggs with the cream and season with salt, pepper, and curry.

Pour the flan mixture into small, ovenproof glass dishes and place them in a baking pan. Fill the pan to a depth of about 2 fingers' width with boiling water. Transfer the oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

Serve the flan garnished with potato chips and shrimp.
