8
- For the dough
- 150 grams Quark
- 6 Tbsps milk
- 6 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 300 grams Pastry flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 Tbsp milk
Preparation steps
1.
For the dough: Place the quark in a bowl with the milk and oil. Add the flour, baking powder and salt, and knead with a hand mixer fitted with dough hooks until smooth.
2.
Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to 4-5 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thick. Cut into 3 cm (approximately 1 1/4 inch) wide and 20 cm (approximately 8 inch) long strips.
Cut the ham into cubes. Place the ham and 1 sausage on top of each strip. Wrap the dough around the sausage.
3.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. In a bowl, whisk the egg with the milk. Brush over the croissants. Bake in a 180°C (approximately 350°F)(gas mark 2-3, fan: 160 degrees) until golden, about 20-25 minutes.
