Roasted Turkey Drumsticks with Red Cabbage

- 1 Turkey drumstick (800 g)
- Sea salt
- For the cabbage
- 500 grams Red cabbage
- 1 onion
- 1 sour Apple (such as Granny Smith)
- 2 Oranges
- 2 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 Tbsp Fruit Vinegar
- ⅛ l Red wine
- 1 Tbsp Vegetable broth
- 1 tsp vegetable oil

- 1 tsp Red currant jelly
- 2 Oranges
Preparation steps
Rub turkey with sea salt and place in a roasting bag and close tightly. Pierce top of roasting bag with a fork and bake in preheated oven at 120°C (approximately 250°F) for about 3 hours. For the cabbage, rinse cabbage and wipe dry and cut into thin strips. Use disposable gloves to handle cabbage to prevent stains on hands. Knead red cabbage with gloved hands. Peel onion, halve and dice finely. Rinse apples, drain and wipe dry and peel, quarter, core and dice. Squeeze juice from oranges and add orange juice, cabbage, onion and apples, spices, vinegar, red wine and other ingredients in a pot. Cover and cook over low heat for about 40 minutes.
Remove cloves, bay leaf and cinnamon stick and stir in currant jelly and season to taste.
Remove turkey drumsticks from oven and arrange on plate and drizzle with gravy, if desired. Serve with red cabbage and garnish with orange slices.
