Preparation steps

Cook the spaghetti in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente according to package directions.

Meanwhile, rinse basil, shake dry and pluck leaves. Reserve some for garnish and coarsely chop the rest.

Add chopped basil, pine nuts and olive oil to the bowl of a mini food processor and puree. Season with salt and pepper.

Drain spaghetti and place in a bowl. Stir in pesto and garnish with basil leaves. Finely grate or shave the Parmesan cheese on top and serve.
