1 onion (finely chopped)
1 clove garlic cloves (finely chopped)
0.333 cup smoked, fatty Bacon
1 carrot (finely chopped)
0.333 cup Celery root (celeriac), finely chopped

1 Tbsp tomato puree

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion, garlic and bacon. Add the vegetables and fry briefly.

Add the mince, a little at a time, and fry over a high heat until it is no longer pink. Add the tomato purée and pour in the wine and broth. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the tomatoes.

Cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add a little more broth if necessary.

Cook the spaghetti until al dente according to the package instructions.
5.
Check the seasoning of the sauce. Drain the pasta and place in bowls. Spoon the sauce over and garnish with basil before serving.
