Preparation steps

1.

Peel potatoes, cut into coarse pieces and cook covered in a little salted water for about 25 minutes.

Bring the milk to the boil, season with salt and 1 pinch of freshly grated nutmeg. Add 2/3 of the butter and let it melt in the milk.

3.

Drain potatoes, let steam briefly, press through a potato ricer while warm and mix with milk. Season mashed potatoes to taste. Put remaining butter on hot mash and grind pepper over it.
