- 450 grams Puff pastry dough (6 sheets)
- 4 slices cooked ham
- 400 grams Sauerkraut (from a jar)
- 50 grams sun-dried Tomatoes (in oil)
- 100 grams grated Emmentaler cheese
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 pinch ground Caraway
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsps milk
- 50 grams Sesame seeds

Preparation steps

Thaw the puff pastry and roll the sheets slightly larger. Cut each in half to create a total of 12 squares. Cut the ham into small cubes and mix with the well drained sauerkraut. Drain the sun-dried tomatoes, chop and mix with the cheese. Season with salt, pepper and ground caraway seeds.

Preheat the convection oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Spread the filling on the dough sheets and fold diagonally so that triangles are formed. Press the edges together with a fork to seal. Whisk the egg yolk with the milk and brush the triangles with the mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm or cool, as desired.
