Ingredients
400 grams Puff pastry dough
clarified butter (for frying)
120 grams powdered sugar
1 tsp lemon juice

Preparation steps

1.

Spread out dough and cut circles out measuring about 8 cm (approximately 3 inches) in diameter. In the middle of each circle, cut out a smaller circle measuring about 2 cm (approximately 1 inch) in diameter so that dough resembles rings. Heat butter to 170°C (approximately 350°F) and fry dough until golden brown in portions, about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels and cool.

2.

For decoration, mix powdered sugar with lemon juice. Coat donuts in mixture and let dry. Serve with fresh figs if desired.
