800 grams potatoes
125 grams Bacon
2 Russet apples (each about 130 grams)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
butter (for the eamekins)
2 Tbsps butter
300 grams Whipped cream
80 grams grated Cheese (such as Gruyère, Emmentaler)
50 grams Crème fraiche
salt
freshly ground peppers
Nutmeg
½ tsp Curry powder
25 grams butter

Preparation steps

1.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top and bottom heat Preheat.

Peel potatoes and slice with the vegetable peeler into 2 mm slices (approximately 1/7 inch).

Cut bacon into small cubes.

Rinse and dry apples, quarter and core, cut into thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice.

Butter two gratin pans. Layer potato and apple slices, alternating,  and sprinkle with ham. Whisk cream cheese with crème fraîche, season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and curry powder. Pour over gratins. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 50 minutes.

Spread flaked butter over gratins and bake under a hot broiler for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. watching carefully. Remove from the oven and cool slightly. Serve.
