1 kilogram potatoes
¾ l milk
250 grams Whipped cream
50 grams butter
30 grams Pastry flour
100 grams Emmentaler cheese
1 bunch Fresh herbs

Preparation steps

1.

Peel and rinse potatoes, cook in boiling salted water for 15 minutes. Drain well. Heat butter in a saucepan, add flour and saute until golden. Mix milk with cream and add to the pan gradually, stirring constantly.

Simmer sauce until it thickens. Add half of cheese and whisk well. Layer potatoes in a gratin pan. Rinse herbs and chop finely. Pour sauce over potatoes and sprinkle with herbs and remaining cheese. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve.
