2 slices Toast
2 Tbsps butter
500 grams cooked day before potatoes
500 grams starchy potatoes
125 milliliters lukewarm milk
4 Tbsps cornstarch
salt
freshly ground peppers
freshly grated Nutmeg

Preparation steps

1.

Cut bread intoabout 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) cubes. Heat butter in a pan and saute bread cubes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Peel cooked potatoes peel and press through the ricer. Peel, rinse and finely grate raw potatoes. Place into a kitchen towel and squeeze well, collecting all starch. Combine with warm milk, starch and pressed potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Dibide into 8-12 pieces and shape into patties. Place croutons in the middle of each patty and shape into balls.

Cook dumplings in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain well and serve.
