2 tsps fresh grated ginger
8 ozs White vinegar
6 ozs Orange juice
1 tsp Mustard seed
pepper and salt (to taste)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and halve the plums. Remove the pits and cut into quarters. Rinse the figs and cut them into large pieces. 

2.

Mix the plums and figs in a pot with the sugar, vinegar, mustard seeds, orange juice, and ginger. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 45 minutes. 

3.

Place the chutney into prepared jars and seal tightly.
