- 1 ½ liters chicken stock
- 7 ozs stale, crusty Bread (cut into cubes)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 5 cloves garlic cloves (finely sliced)
- Black pepper
- extra virgin olive oil
- To garnish
- thyme
Preparation steps
1.
Put the stock, bread, salt, onion and garlic into a pan and bring to a boil.
2.
Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and season to taste with black pepper.
3.
Ladle the soup into serving bowls and top with a drizzle of olive oil. Garnish with thyme.
