2 Tbsps sunflower oil
1 tsp sugar
salt

800 milliliters Beef broth
200 milliliters dry white wine
2 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Preparation steps

Peel onions and cut into thin rings. Trim mushrooms and cut into slices. Heat oil in a saucepan and slowly fry onions for 10-15 minutes while stirring until soft and season with sugar, salt and pepper. Let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to brown. Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes until all golden brown.

Then add broth and wine, bring to a boil and simmer for another 15 minutes. Peel garlic and squeeze through a press into the soup and season with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Serve in bowls.

Serve with toasted bread if desired.
