3 onions
1 garlic clove
150 grams Cheshire cheese
4 Tbsps butter
¼ l beer
½ l Beef broth (from a jar)
1 slice Toast
salt

Worcestershire sauce

Preparation steps

1.

Peel onions and garlic, cut onions into thin rings. Grate cheese coarsely. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan and saute onions until translucent.

Add 2 tablespoons of cheese to onions and melt, stirring. Squeeze garlic through a garlic press and add to onion mixture, Add beer and broth. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Cut bread into cubes. Heat butter in a pan and saute bread cubes until golden brown. 

3.

Pour soup into four ramekins and sprinkle with croutons and remaining cheese. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned. Serve.
