Such a small chocolate ball cake is simply delicious and occasionally we are allowed to nibble, because how else can we benefit from the flavonoids from the cocoa? ;) These are able to lower a too high blood pressure.

How about a cinnamon glaze for the mini chocolate ball cake? For this, add about a level teaspoon of cinnamon powder to the icing made of icing sugar and whipped cream. Depending on your own preference, you can also refine the mini cakes with other spices. A little chilli, for example, adds spice, while cardamom and aniseed add a Christmassy aroma.

250 grams softened butter
175 grams sugar
1 pinch salt
5 eggs
500 grams Pastry flour
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 teaspoons Baking powder
250 milliliters milk
butter (for greasing)
Pastry flour (for dusting)

50 grams powdered sugar
50 milliliters Whipped cream

Preparation steps

For the cakes: Cream the butter, sugar and salt until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs and stir until creamy. Mix the flour with the cocoa powder and baking powder and then add to the butter mixture along with the milk. Grease 6 small Bundt pans with butter and dust with flour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Pour the batter into the ramekins and bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove the cakes from the pan, let cool slightly then transfer to a wire rack to cool. For the glaze: Stir the powdered sugar with the cream until smooth and then drizzle over the cakes. Let dry before serving.
